Unveiling the company’s latest animal welfare policy, the COO of easyJet holidays Matt Callaghan announced that it will not be offering or promoting any attraction that is harmful to animal life such as animal performances, animal rides, animal sporting events, and captivity attractions such as zoos and marine parks in their tour programmes.

The fastest-growing tour operator in the UK announced these measures to encourage animal welfare and conservation efforts around the world by driving down the supply of tourists to these attractions. By doing so, easyJet holidays envisions being an industry leader in sustainable and responsible travel.

The policy has been developed in consultation with leading animal welfare organizations such as World Animal Protection and incorporates animal welfare guidelines published by ABTA, a trade association of tour operators in the UK.
